July 2009: Leamington Spa Open Art Exhibition Success
I entered a Fine Art canvas wrapped large format print into the Leamington Spa Open Art Exhibition. The print was selected for acceptance from over 400 entries. The print entitled "Winter Sunrise, Kenilworth Castle" has sold to an unknown buyer.

This image was made at sunrise on a frosty December morning at Kenilworth Castle. I set up my tripod on the edge of the Inchford Brook just south of the Curtain Wall and facing the imposing Leicester’s Building. The image is stitched from 9 overlapping pictures. This panoramic picture prints sharply over 2 metres wide!
May 2009: Kenilworth Festival Art Show Success
I entered the Kenilworth Festival Art Show which was held in the Holiday Inn at Abbey End. My framed and unframed photographs taken at Kenilworth Castle and Abbey Fields were a complete sell out. My canvas wrapped picture entitled “Abbey Fields, Kenilworth in Winter” seen below, was judged best in show by public vote. Sales of my prints raised £50 for the Rotary Club of Kenilworth.

About “Abbey Fields, Kenilworth in Winter”: There was an exceptional fall of snow on the evening of Saturday 5th April 2008. Very early the next morning I set out in over 5” of snow and in brilliant sunshine to take pictures in Abbey Fields. I set up a tripod on the south side of Abbey Pool around 8am before the sun was warm enough to melt the thick snow from the branches of the trees. I fitted a special panoramic head between the tripod and D-SLR camera, and made a total of 14 overlapping pictures while sweeping the camera from left to right. Later that day at home I stitched the images together in the computer and was then looking at a unique and amazing 170 degree panoramic picture which can be enlarged over 2 metres wide!
